Water coming out under the front of the refrigerator and all I could think about was the original oak floor running through the whole house. Next morning appointment. It was cloudy water, so the drain had iced closed rather than the supply line letting go. Sorted in one visit.
We inherited an old 500 series with the house off Fort Stockton and had already been quoted for a replacement. He said no, it needs a fan and a sensor. Two parts. A new one would have meant rebuilding the opening the cabinetmaker scribed around it.
Our 1920s Craftsman has a modern Sub-Zero that stopped cooling on a Saturday night. They arrived within two hours and fixed the compressor issue. Professional service that respected our historic home.

What people actually comment on
Almost never the repair itself — a working refrigerator is what was expected. What comes up again and again is the part around it: that the arrival window was real, that the price quoted was the price charged, and that the technician explained what had failed rather than presenting a total.
The second thing is that the appliance was serviced where it stood. Built-in units are fitted into cabinetry, often with stone counters and panelled doors around them, and dragging one out to look at it risks more than the fault ever did. On this equipment the condenser is reached through the grille and the sealed system is designed for access in place.
Repairs that did not happen
Some of these reviews are for visits where nothing was replaced: a door seal reseated, a drain cleared, a filter that had never been changed. A diagnosis ending in "this does not need a part" is a successful visit, and it is charged as a diagnosis rather than as a repair.
