Most of the work we do in Mission Hills comes from someone who has had us out before, or from a neighbor of theirs. That is the only marketing this trade really has.

Cubes had been coming out small and hollow for ages and we just lived with it. The guy checked pressure at the valve first and traced the line to a little saddle valve down in the crawl space barely passing water. Changed the connection and the filter. Proper ice now.
Wine cabinet built into the dining room cabinetry of our Spanish Colonial. Panel said fifty-five, my thermometer down at the bottles said sixty-one. He found the grille breathing into a closed cavity with nowhere for the heat to go and told me straight that part was a carpentry job, not a repair.
Viking oven took forever to light and then thumped when it did. He measured the igniter, said it was drawing low, put a new one in. Parked on a tight street and hauled everything up our front steps without a word. Lights right away now.

What people actually comment on
Almost never the repair itself — a working refrigerator is what was expected. What comes up again and again is the part around it: that the arrival window was real, that the price quoted was the price charged, and that the technician explained what had failed rather than presenting a total.
The second thing is that the appliance was serviced where it stood. Built-in units are fitted into cabinetry, often with stone worktops and panelled doors around them, and dragging one out to look at it risks more than the fault ever did. On this equipment the condenser is reached through the grille and the sealed system is designed for access in place.
Repairs that did not happen
Some of these reviews are for visits where nothing was replaced: a door seal reseated, a drain cleared, a filter that had never been changed. It is worth saying plainly that a diagnosis which ends in "this does not need a part" is a successful visit, and it is charged as a diagnosis rather than a repair.
